PITA BREAD

This week I’ve got this simple pita bread recipe.
It’s really easy and the result is great!

Here, I had my pita bread with avocado hummus and sundried tomato and it was delicious, but you can have it with whatever you prefer.

Ingredients:
250 g of all-purpose flour (8.8 oz.)
250 g of strong flour (8.8 oz.)
2 tablespoons of dry yeast (5.5 g/0.2 oz.) or 14 g (0.5 oz.) of fresh yeast
1 cup of warm water
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of salt

Sift both types of flours with the dry yeast (if it’s fresh dissolve it in the water)
Make a hole in the center of the flour and add the water and oil.
Knead for 5 minutes (I used the Kitchen Aid hook) and add the salt.
Knead for 5 minutes more.
Make a ball and let it rest for 1 hour and a half, cover with a wet towel.

Then, form 8 balls and extend them with the rolling pin.

Place them on a baking sheet.

Preheat the oven at 180ºC (356ºF).
Bake for 10-15 minutes.

Once they’re cooled, you can heat the bread in the toast and they’re perfect!
