HALLOWEEN CUPCAKES: VANILLA AND CHOCOLATE

As I told you, here it is the recipe of the Halloween cupcakes. It's an easy basic recipe: is a vanilla cake, which I dyed in three colors, decorated with chocolate ganache.

For 12 normal or 24 mini, depending on the size of the paper liners.

Cake:
200 g flour (7 oz.)
100 g room temperature butter (3.5 oz.)
150 g white sugar (5.3 oz.)
2 eggs M
1 teaspoon and a half of baking powder
80 ml milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Opcional: gel or pasta colorants (green, orange and purple)

Ganache:
160 chocolate (5.6 oz.)
140 ml cream
1 tablespoon butter

Start preparing the ganache. Pour the cream in a pot and before boiling add the chocolate and the butter. Stir to homogenize and let it cool for at least two hours.

Prepare the paper liners in the baking sheet and preheat the oven to 160ºC (320ºF).

Now prepare the cake, mix the milk with the vanilla and the flour with the baking powder, sift and reserve.

Beat the butter and the sugar. When it is creamy add the eggs. Add half the flour mixture until blended.

Now add the milk and finally the remaining flour, mix well.

For the dying, you have to split the dough into three.

Add a bit of colorant to each one and mix well.

Split the dough into capsules, for the mini I used just one color and for the regular ones I used the three of them.

Bake them for 15-20 minutes and make sure a toothpick comes out clean.

Let them rest a couple of minutes and pass them to a rack to cool down.

When they are completely cooled, decorate them with the ganache.
