HALLOWEEN COOKIES

As you can see I go on with Halloween theme =)
This time I’ve prepared some butter cookies, with vanilla or chocolates, really easy and quickly and they are delicious!

To make the process easier you can make just one dough and add the rest of ingredients at the end.

Ingredients:
200 g flour (7 oz.)
140 g butter (at room temperature) (5 oz.)
120 g sugar (4.2 oz.)
1 egg M
A pinch of salt

For vanilla cookies:
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
40 g flour (1.4 oz.)

For chocolate cookies:
30 g unsweetened cocoa powder (1 oz.)

Start sifting the 200g (7 oz.) of flour with the salt and reserve.

Beat the butter and the sugar until it’s creamy. Next add the egg and mix. Finally add the 200 g (7 oz.) of flour.

Now divide the dough into two and add in one of the parts the 30 g (1 oz.) of flour (shifted) and the vanilla and in the other part add the cocoa (shifted). I added a bit of orange colorant to the vanilla dough.

Divide the dough into four parts, cover them with cling film and put them in the fridge. If you’re going to use cutters, form balls, if you want to them rounded, simple make a cylinder and cut them with a sharpen knife.

After this time, preheat the oven at 180ºC (356ºF).

Extend the dough, 0,5 cm (0.2 inches) of thickness, and cut.

Place them on a baking sheet and bake them for 15 minutes.

When they’re ready let them rest for 5 minutes and put them in a rack to cool down.

And now they’re ready to eat! Yum!
