FIG JAM (gluten free)

There aren’t many things I like from the end of the summer, but one of them are figs, one of my favorite fruits.
Maybe what makes them so special is its brief season, but the truth is that I love them.

I’m so luck because my grandpa has fig trees and even though he’s allergic to fig trees he always comes back with a big bucket of figs.

So many figs, that I needed to do something with them, so I found an easy and not very original solution, but delicious: jam.

Ingredients:
230 g of peeled figs (10 figs approximately) (8.1 oz.)
60 g of brown sugar (2.1 oz.)
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
½ cup of water

Put all the ingredients in a pot at medium heat.

It will take about 45 minutes. You’ll just need to stir occasionally.
Once it’s ready, you can use the blender if you want it smoother, for me it’s fine without blending.

Let it cool down a bit, put the jam in a jar (if you want it to last for a longer time sterilize the jar) and then put it in the fridge.
