EASTER CHOCOLATE MOUSSE (gluten free)

Last minute Easter recipe: dark chocolate mousse with a nest made of milk chocolate cream and mini Easter eggs, sounds good, doesn’t it?

This recipe is so quick and everyone will enjoy it, specially the chocolate lovers.

Also, the combination of the dark chocolate of the mousse and the milk chocolate of the nests is just perfect.

Ingredients (6 servings):
150 g of dark chocolate (5.3 oz.)
5 eggs (whites and yolks separated)

150 g of dessert milk chocolate (5.3 oz.)
100 ml of heavy cream

30 mini Easter eggs of different colors (if you’re doing a gluten free recipe make sure they don’t contain gluten)

Melt the chocolate and let it cool down a bit.
Add the yolks and mix well.
Beat the egg whites until they for stiff peaks.
Add the chocolate with the yolks to the whites and stir gently so you don’t break the bubbles.

Finally, distribute the mousse among the recipients and chill.

Meanwhile, prepare the nests.

Melt the milk chocolate and add the cream. Stir until even and let it cool down.
Put the milk chocolate cream in a piping bag with a grass like tip (I used Wilton 233) and make the nests on the top of the mousse.
Place three eggs per nest.

Chill until consuming them.
