COLORS SPONGE CAKE

After a long time thinking about ir a decided to write my first entry.
I wanted to start with this easy and classic recipe, because it is colorful and with lots of possibilities. for a better result use a beater.

Ingredients (7-8 inches mold):
1 lemon yoghurt (or natural and lemon zest)
1 measurement of yoghurt of oil
2 measurement of yoghurt of sugar
3 measurement of yoghurt of flour
2 tablespoons of baking powder
2-3 eggs
Butter for greasing the mold

Start beating the eggs and mixing them with the sugar. After that add the flour with the baking powder, previously sifted, and mix. Add the yoghurt and when it’s integrated, add the sugar.

Once the dough is homogeneous we distribute it into 6 glasses (or as much as colors you want to use), leaving a small part, like half of a glass without coloring. Leave more quantity of the colors you are going to put on the outside, so when it spreads out you won’t lose that color. Add a bit of colorant and mix well.

Preheat the oven at 180ºC (350ºF)

Grease the mold and pour the dough. Start with the one without coloring, and continue with the colors you want outside. You have to pour it on the center, trying to make a circle.

Bake it for 25-30 minutes, or until and tooth stick gets out clean. Take it out, let it cool down for a few minutes and remove it from the mold.

Now I’ll show you some of the decorations I’ve made with fondant for birthdays.
