CHOCOLATE AND OREO ICE CREAM (without ice cream machine)

I’m thinking about new recipes all day long, sometimes things I don’t even like and that’s how I came up with this one.

Because, you see, I’m not a big ice-cream fan, but I am a chocolate and oreo fan.
So I made this ice cream, thinking that I would just try a bit, because summer is getting closer, but it wasn’t just a bit.
It was too good!
And worst: it so easy!
You won’t buy ice cream again!

So here you got the recipe:

Ingredients:
200 ml milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
40 g pure cocoa powder (1,4 oz)
Pinch of salt
2 egg yolks
40 g sugar (1,4 oz)
200 ml of cream
20 g inverted sugar (1 tablespoon and a half aprox.) (0,7 oz)
5-6 chopped oreo cookies

Put the milk, the cocoa, the vanilla and the salt in a pot.
Heat it up without boiling; when it’s already mixed remove from the heat and reserve.
Beat the yolks with the sugar until it’s foamy and add it to the mixture, stirring vigorously.
Put it in a big bowl and let it in the fridge for an hour.
Start whipping the cream. When it gets a bit consistent add the inverted sugar, slowly, and keep on beating to form peaks.
After the hour, add the whipping cream and stir carefully.

Line a recipient with plastic wrap, so it’s easier to remove the ice cream, and pour the mix. Put it into the freezer for 2-3 hours, it has to be quite frozen, but not too hard.

Remove it from the freezer and place it in a food processer with blades until it’s creamy.
Finally, add the cookies.
You almost have the ice cream!
You just have to put it in the recipient agin and let it freeze for about 3 hours.
After that, it will be ready to be eaten with no mercy!

To finish this post, I’d like to show this pic of my mommy with a bouquet made of cupcakes that I made for Mother’s Day.

I’ll prepare the recipe for the next post!
